Snapchat had 265 million active users in 2020, which is 22% more than in 2019. The amount of active users grows every year. I wouldn't dare to say that every one of those 265 million users is happy with their current username, and they would like to be able to change it.

Imagine you joined snapchat when you were younger, into other things, like online gaming, cartoons, and you selected your snapchat username according to that. Or maybe you used your YouTube channel name as your username, in case you would ever get famous. You grew up and realised how bad that username looks, but you do not want to delete your account or migrate to a new one, because this one has a sentimental value to you. You have your Snapstreaks there, you have a high Snapscore that took you so long to get, and you have all your chats and pictures saved there.

It is also hard to reach out to people with a funny username, because they can judge you. People laugh about your username, which can make you anxious and afraid of adding new friends. If Twitter allows changing usernames, I think Snapchat should have that option too.

In my opinion, it is our right to be able to change our usernames without losing everything we have on our accounts, because we use Snapchat in our daily life, and we should be able to represent ourselves the way we want to right now, not the way we wanted when we created our accounts.
