The sheriff’s office in smith county is refusing to make masks mandatory during the coronavirus pandemic. 

This decision will be detrimental to Smith County as people will refuse to wear a mask and will instead put people in harms way as they could transmit Covid-19 to other people and will increase Covid-19 related fatalities.

The pandemic is not a conspiracy, wearing a mask is not taking away your rights. Older people, younger people (especially infants) and immune compromised people will suffer and even die. Wearing a mask can severely help us become safer as a community
