First, thank you to everyone who provided comments to the Federal Railroad Administration in opposition to the F Street Station and/or in support of the Truxtun Station. Although the comment period is officially closed, please don't hesitate to send comments if you missed the deadline. Comments should can be sent to Stephanie Perez at stephanie.perez@dot.gov Additionally, the City of Bakersfield recently released their station area plan vision for downtown. This is the city's vision for the F Street Station (even though a decision on the station location has not been made). The vision calls for multiple high-rise towers (up to 35 stories) at Garces Circle, on San Joaquin Community Hospital property, and on F Street. Please join us is telling the city that we do not want a station at F Street or this type of development at F Street and Golden State Avenue ... and that instead this development should be concentrated in the downtown core.
