Slow down to 80km Sturt Highway between Forest Hill & Alfredtown NSW

The issue

Please help get the speed limit changed on the Sturt Highway between Alfredtown and Forest Hill.   With two accidents in two days involving cars and trucks and various others in the past,  I think it’s time to make a change and keep our road users safe.  The stretch of road mostly affected is in between two hills that trucks find it hard to slow down for people to pull into their driveways or in and out of the service station at Alfredtown.  Personally my family was affected by the horrific head on at my front gate a year or more ago, the whole experience affecting ourselves and neighbours a great deal.   The road is getting busier and busier. Having lived in ear shot of the highway for over 20 years and working at both the Shanty Hotel and Service Station I have witnessed lots of near misses and it’s been a topic of conversation many a time amongst the locals of the area. Now that we have such an easy & convenient platform to get this message across I thought I’d take the opportunity to try and address the issue and pass it onto the appropriate powers to be.
