Kneller Hall has been the Home of British Army Music since 1857. Certainly, it is revered in the hearts and minds of many living in the UK, not just Local People. We do not want the heritage of the School dilapidated and replaced with over priced housing and Army Musicians forced marched away to Portsmouth to be pressed into The Royal Marines Band School.

Refurbish Kneller Hall to be a fully staffed and re-equipped, fit for purpose, military training establishment to equip talented young musicians to best serve the Nation and your Army for the remainder, at the very least, of this Century, and please do not proceed to sell it off to property developers?

I started this petition because…
I was Secretary to the Trustees of the Welfare and Benevolent Fund for British Army Musicians for many years. I learned first hand how the latter value their heritage arising from the Century plus exemplarily teaching of military musicianship at this Excellent Academy. Many overseas Armies have sent students since the 1960s. I campaign to reverse a poor decision by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation who have refused even to meet basic health and safety requirements since 2014 and seek profit over welfare and ethos.
