I would like to petition for Singleton Council to offer a rebate on reusable cloth nappies and other reusable items such as cloth wipes, sanitary products, nursing pads etc.

The aim of providing a reusable cloth nappy rebate is it encourage those who wish to try cloth, and support those who already use them.  It is to reduce our footprint on waste, and what goes in to our landfill.

Many Councils offer a cloth nappy rebate - Parramatta and Blacktown being the most recent to join the party.

I was shot down very quickly when asked if this was something the Council would potentially consider.  I think it should be brought forward at least for consideration.
