The Issue

On March 7th 2026, Simply Plural creator, Apparyllis, released a statement, announcing that the beloved plural tracking app will be discontinued in the coming months.

First of all, this petition, and the signers therein, would like to thank Apparyllis for their time and dedication over the years to this amazing app. It has connected many systems and many plurals to themselves and one another. It has served as a disability aid for those of us who may struggle daily with staying on track and keeping organized.

We understand that the decision to leave the project you have worked on for years, have sacrificed your time and energy for, is not one to be taken lightly.

The time it takes to produce a working product to the public is astronomical, and you deserve to get your life back. You deserve to reap rewards of your labour.

Thank you, Apparyllis, for creating a pillar of the global community through the years.

As such, the community does not wish to lose this vital resource, and is very saddened to see it go.

The writer of this petition is offering a potential solution.

Please consider releasing Simply Plural's source code to the public, so that it may live on with similar iterations. So that Simply Plural can continue to evolve and grow with the community that you created with your bare hands and have so lovingly cultivated.

Please, Apparyllis, consider making Simply Plural open source.

And to fellow users: Please be kind, gentle, and patient to Apparyllis. They are one person, who is, I'm sure, understandably overwhelmed by the massive undertaking that is required for such a large web program.

They want their free time back. It's not ours to demand a continued product.

We are not here to make demands. We are here to politely request.
