Please sign this petition against the Tiny Homes Project the City of Hamilton wants to develop along Strachan Street between James and Hughson.

Allowing this shanty town represents a backwards step to efforts in making the North End a desirable neighbourhood. It is going to change our community for the worse in the following ways: our new path and green space along Strachan has been deemed unusable due to the tents and will remain so with the proposed tiny shelters. The North End community has had to witness illegal drug use, sexual acts, overdoses, and public urination and defecation. We do not feel safe allowing our children to walk to and from our nearby schools.

Since the encampments have been permitted; we have have an increase in break ins and the mere existence of these encampments has depreciated not only our property values but the quality of our neighbourhood. We as North Ender's can no longer boast that we are a child and family friendly neighbourhood.

We should have a say what happens within our community. Say NO to the Tiny Home Project on Strachan Street!
