Mike Azinger is a republican senete member in the WV legislature. For many years in a row he has written bills targeting the queer community. He has written drag ban bills and bills banning  trans health care every session for many years now. 

Now, to sponsor a bill is one thing, to vote on a bill is one thing. That's probably just your typical homophobe/transphobe. However, to not only write your own anti queer bills but to do it multiple sessions in a row again and again makes it seem like an obsession. Why the obsession? 

A lot of bigotry is just projecting. Azinger accuses drag performers of being inappropriate in front of minors. He thinks minors should not be allowed  ANY trans healthcare. He thinks abortion is killing babies. But he is a Trump supporter; Trump, who we all know in the epstine files as well as sexually assaulted a woman. So perhaps his obsession is represed guilt. 

So, maybe that's what this is all about, guilt, not gay. However, when he accuses drag performers of "pureitent interest" (appealing to people's sexual interest) isn't he kind of admitting he finds drag performers hot? 

Now, I know what you're saying. He doesn't actually think drag is sexual; he just needs an excuse to ban drag from public because he hates queer people. But why does he hate queer people? Now we're back where we started. Remember, Grindr crashed at the RNC and Charlie Kirk's memorial. 

All I know is that if Mike Azinger is this obsessed with the lgbtq community, he's got his own insecurities around his gender and/or sexuality. It doesn't even have to be that he's in a closet. He could not feel manly enough. He could like beautiful dresses. He could be bad with women. Whatever it is, I wish he would stop making his problems everyone else's.
