An update on the outline Planning Application to build 12 apartments on land at Ridgacre Road West, opposite Bissell street, Quinton B32 1AX, (Application 2022/09287/PA): Earlier this year, many of you signed a petition in opposition to this planning application. Having consulted the Planning Portal for an update on the current status of the application, I noted that some additional consultation reports had been added to the application. I have recently received some updated information. I have recently received some information from Councillor Sam Forsyth, which clarifies what is now happening. The application is currently subject to a holding objection from National Highways, who have requested further work to be undertaken with regards to air quality and noise and are still reviewing the documents submitted relating to impact on the M5 structural wall. Whilst the holding objection does not prevent the council refusing the application, as National Highways have requested further information from the applicant, the local planning authority has agreed that this work should be undertaken and submitted. The application will ultimately be determined in accordance with the Birmingham Development Plan, having due consideration to objections received alongside other material planning considerations.
