Campaign Description:
We are 3D artists, modelers, and digital content creators from all around the world who contribute to TurboSquid and its parent company, Shutterstock. For a long time, the global community of creators has been facing immense frustration due to the non-transparent management, ambiguous payment systems, and policies that systematically ignore artists' rights.

We are launching this petition not just for individual grievances, but on behalf of all TurboSquid and Shutterstock contributors who deserve respect, clarity, and fair compensation for their labor.

Our Core Issues & Demands:

Uncertainty in Contributor Fund Payments: The "Contributor Fund" payouts—meant to compensate artists for data licensing and AI training datasets—have fallen into complete obscurity. The company consistently fails to provide transparent calculations, explicit criteria, or definitive timelines for these distributions, leaving creators in the dark.
The PixelSquid Transition, Low Pricing, and Data Blackout: Following the migration of our assets from the closed PixelSquid.com to the main Shutterstock platform, creators have faced a complete information blackout. We are completely blocked from seeing the performance of our migrated assets; we cannot track which of our assets are being downloaded, how often, or under what terms. To make matters worse, these assets are being sold under extremely low-cost subscription models that heavily devalue our work, resulting in infinitesimally small royalty payouts that do not reflect the true value of 3D artistry.
Complete Lack of Transparency: Creators are completely blocked from seeing how their assets are being utilized. Detailed metrics on which assets are being downloaded, under which subscription tiers, or how they are packaged for enterprise AI contracts are strictly hidden from us.
Our Official Demands to Shutterstock & TurboSquid Management:

A Definitive and Fair Payout Timeline: We demand immediate, detailed transparency regarding the Contributor Fund allocations and a strict, reliable schedule for all outstanding payouts.
Transparent Reporting Dashboards: Implement a comprehensive analytics panel where every contributor can track exactly how, where, and for what price their individual assets are being licensed or downloaded.
Fair Royalties and Asset Valuation: Stop devaluing 3D labor through aggressive subscription discounting. Royalty rates and pricing structures must be renegotiated to ensure artists receive a fair share of the revenue they generate.
