Well since rats have become very popular pets over the last 10 years and more lots of people have joined the community. it’s wonderful to see everyone sharing a love for such a small misunderstood animal but there’s always  one out there that don’t follow rules and proper care  like here in New Zealand there’s a company called The Mouse House. There has been a lot of post and discussion around the community for years of being sold sick rats with respiratory issues and mites and parasites also some that have been injured with cuts and broken toes from the way they are kept in the so called breeding warehouse.

lots of families have gotten rats from them for kids just to have their kids bitten and shaken up scared to even go near them. Even cases of them killing each other 😞.

Also another common problem is not sexing the rats properly and them getting pregnant in the hands of new rat owners and people who simply just wanted pets not to be a breeder. 
When you enter their website it’s just like ordering shoes but instead of size it’s colour and how many you want to have should definitely not be allowed. They are not an item they are an animal!!!! 
I have made this to try my best to put a stop to This and make owning rats in New Zealand pleasant and enjoyable agian
