The horrendous South Lakes Safari Zoo in Dalton in Furness, Cumbria, needs to be shut down. The most recent report states over 500 animals have died over a span of 3 years which is incomprehensible! Pictures show the awful state that these poor animals are kept in, with rhinos being kept in cages so small they can’t physically turn around, rats inside enclosures, injured animals and so on. The most horrendous story comes from primary school children who witnessed a peacock have its head ripped off by a pair of giant otters.

How have the council allowed this place to stay open?! How in 2024 is this place still running? Have we not put animals through enough? Please have a read of the news articles below and sign the petition to demand change.
