A Message of Thanks and a Call to Action
I want to offer my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who has taken the time to read my petition and reflect on how it connects to your own life. Your support tells me something important: you believe in something bigger than yourself. You recognize bureaucratic neglect, a lack of accountability, and injustice when you see it—and you refuse to accept it as normal. For that, I am truly grateful.
In today’s America, there are more questions than answers. We see questionable ethics, weak oversight, and a system where the rules apply to some but not to others. The solution to these problems is not silence or resignation—it is accountability and responsibility.
Malcolm X spoke powerfully about the role of anger in change. He distinguished anger from sadness, explaining that sadness leads people to withdraw and do nothing, while anger—when properly directed—becomes a force for action. As he put it, when people are sad, they cry over their condition, but when they become angry, they bring about change. I believe that deeply. Anger, when channeled constructively, is not destructive, it is transformative.
That is why I cannot do this alone. A grassroots movement is far more powerful than a one-man army, especially when confronting entrenched systems that resist accountability. I have written to Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Attorney General Dana Nessel. I have received no response. While that outcome was not surprising, it reinforces why public pressure matters.
This is a constitutional republic, not a pure democracy. Our rights are not meant to be voted away, and government power is meant to be limited by the Constitution through separation of powers. In this system, authority ultimately resides with the people—not with unaccountable institutions.
I urge you: do not be afraid to speak out. Engage local and national media. File state and federal lawsuits where appropriate. Demand investigations into the State of Michigan, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, and any other parties responsible for corruption and abuse within the jail system—including the City of Pontiac.
Put sustained pressure on Dana Nessel and Gretchen Whitmer through countless emails and letters. Flood their offices with written demands for accountability. Make it impossible for them to claim ignorance, and impossible for them to continue ignoring the voices of the people they are sworn to serve.
Real change has never come from silence. It comes from collective action, persistence, and courage. With your help, we can create the pressure necessary to force accountability and protect constitutional and civil rights. I cannot do this alone—but together, we can make headway.
