Shut down Meath Court W3

Shut down Meath Court W3
The Issue
We, the concerned residents and advocates of Meath Court in Acton, London, write to you today with a pressing matter that demands immediate attention. Shut Meath Court down!
Meath Court, though designated as temporary accommodation, stands as a testament to the degradation of human dignity and safety. These shipping container homes are an affront to the principles of decency, and it is our solemn duty to shut Meath court down!
The conditions within Meath Court are a grave concern, as they are patently unsuitable for human habitation. The structures themselves, exhibiting rust and decay, stand as grim reminders of neglect. The pervasive presence of mould poses a direct threat to the health and well-being of the residents who are compelled to reside within these inhospitable containers.
In addition to the structural deficiencies, Meath Court has regrettably become a hotbed for anti-social behavior and criminal activity. Reports of raids, indecent exposure, and a general atmosphere of insecurity have cast a shadow over this community. Families, including vulnerable children, who have been placed here endure an environment that is far from conducive to their growth and development.
This regrettable situation has placed a severe burden on the mental and emotional well-being of the residents. The toll it has taken on the mental health of both adults and children is immeasurable. The promise of a safe and nurturing environment, even in temporary accommodation, remains unfulfilled within the confines of Meath Court.
Welcome to the Meath Court a representation of the dark side of Ealing Council's temporary accommodation strategy.
We have a major issue of active drug use, sexual activity, theft and gang related crimes. Our residence has become a hotspot for local criminals to meet and sell drugs. The Police are called here literally every week regarding various incidents, and several reports have been made by myself and my neighbours; we have been completely ignored by the council.
There are over 60 containers and we do not have a single camera around this residence. The entire state of this place is absolutely horrific, and disgusting. The council have literally dumped us here and left us to suffer. They do not care. Things are so bad; I’m frightened to collect my letters downstairs or use the laundry room in the during the day and evenings, as it has now become a home for all local drug users and the homeless. Throughout the day, we have people smoking drugs, performing sexual acts, drug dealing, urinating and defecating in our bin area. Some have been violent and will intimidate residents who are doing their washing in the evenings. And It's worse for women. There are no cameras in this room also.
Last week, a young lady nearly lost her life after suspicions that she was pushed or jumped from the top floor flats. She was given CPR by two of my neighbours and they practically saved her life. As far as we know she is in a coma, with broken hips and legs.
We’ve recently had an interview with GB News who has kindly covered our story, as well as an article written by Ealing News.
The future of our community and our children is at stake, and it is incumbent upon the authorities to take decisive action. We call for the immediate closure of Meath Court, followed by a comprehensive review of the conditions within other such accommodations throughout the borough.
Our children deserve better. Their growth and development should not be stunted by the substandard conditions they are subjected to within Meath Court. It is our hope that you will heed this petition, and in doing so, provide a glimmer of hope to those who have been forced to endure such adversity.
Sign, share, support us shut this hell hole down so nobody has to live and suffer inside.
