Ex Paramiltary veterans delegation met with Advisor to Lt governor of J&K

Under the leadership of former ADG Shri HR Singh, a 6 member paramilitary delegation met the advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar at Jammu secretriat, on the issues of better education, health and rehabilitation of the soldiers, serving and retired paramilitary soldiers who were martyred in Jammu and Kashmir. After discussing in detail, a memorandum was handed over to the respected Advisor Sir.
There was a demand to open CGHS dispensary in the border areas especially in Poonch & Mendhar so that thousands of serving and retired families could get better health facilities. Another important issue, for the welfare of paramilitary soldiers in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the need for the formation of a paramilitary welfare board at the district level so that pension and rehabilitation of widows and retired soldiers and other welfare schemes can be implemented through the above board.
The Advisor sir gave full assurance to the delegation that will talk to the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor for the process of formation of Welfare Board in the Union Territory would be started. The Advisor also agreed to open CGHS dispensary in the above mentioned border district.
