Jab We Met His Excellency The President

Five members Veteran's delegation of Confederation of Ex Paramilitary Force Welfare Association under the leadership of General Secretary Ranbir Singh met on 3.9.2021 with His Excellency President Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji regarding the restoration of old pension, establishment of Paramilitary schools, formation of Ardh-Sena Flag Day Fund and other welfare related issues & submitted the memorandum.
Despite several meetings of the Ex-paramilitary veterans with the Home Minister, Defense Minister, Finance Minister, different state Chief Minister, Hon'ble Governors, Minister of State for Home, Union Home Secretary, Cabinet Secretary and other Union Ministers, there are no positive results coming out then the door of His Excellency Rashtrapati ji was knocked.
The following points were discussed which included restoration of pension of Paramilitary forces, formation of Paramilitary welfare boards in all States and UTs, 50% GST exemption on CPC canteens, establishment of Paramilitary Schools in the State capitals in the name of Sardar Patel, An appeal was made to His Excellency President for establishment of Ardh Sena Flag Day Fund and expansion of CGHS dispensaries in rural areas where large number of Paramilitary families are residing.. The delegation strongly upposed IPS lobby entry as forces DG in spite of Cadre Officer.
We urged the supreme commander of defence forces to give appointment letters to 55 thousand SSC GD-2018 medically fit youths who have been waiting for appointment for more than 3 years so that the external and internal security of the nation is strengthened.
The meeting was completed in a pleasant atmosphere and it's the first time since after independence when His Excellency the President invited Ex CAPF veterans to the Raisina Hills Rashtrapati Bhavan and discussed various security forces welfare related issues.
Honorable President deeply appreciated the services rendered by the Paramilitary forces for the country and assured that the above legitimate issues would be sent to the Hon'ble Prime Minister with recommendations.
