Under the banner of the Confederation of Ex-Paramilitary Force Welfare Association, a peaceful protest was held at Rajghat on 12 November over the early appointment of the posts of paramilitary force soldiers in which thousands of youth assembled from different parts across the country expressed their anger.

A delegation of Paramiltary forces veterans under the chairmanship of General Secretary Ranbir Singh submitted a  memorandum to His Excellency the President's Secretariat, Deputy Secretary Home Ministry, IG Establishment CRPF and Deputy Chairman Staff Selection Commission. In which appeals to increase the seats to all medical fit youth by issuing appointment letters with waiting lists.

Also, in 2011 and 2015, the medical fit youths who survived the joint recruitment examinations taken by SSC were also requested to issue appointment letters. If all these medical fit youths are not issued appointment letters, then more than two-thirds of the candidates will become over-aged, while due to tension on the borders, the government should issue appointment letters to these youths soon. The statement given by the Honorable Minister of State for Home Shri Nityanand Rai Ji in the Parliament recently, in which the posts of one lakh eleven thousand soldiers in the security forces are vacant.
