Support for Copperas Cove Part Time employee to care for City Cemetery

The Issue

There is a position for a part time parks and rec employee that would be dedicated to the care of the Copperas Cove City Cemetery in the city budget that goes to vote in August. Our city council members will ultimately decide if the cemetery gets properly cared for or not.

Our municipal cemetery is not cared for in a way that reflects the values of this council or the city. This is a stewardship issue. That cemetery is a city asset. We simply must do a better job of caring for it. We have been 8 years without a dedicated sexton, and it shows.

Show your support by signing this petition; let the council know that you care and that we NEED a caretaker for the cemetery.
