We have now reached over 200 signatures. That's pretty amazing considering the relatively low numbers of people who would actually be helped by this. 
FYI, the three main ways to promote this was:

1. Post to a Yarra Ranges FB group
2. Post to my FB Account
3. Letter dropped about 600 houses in the area 

I will follow up with the council at some point and ask them to clarify their position.
