Man who Failed to Stop for a Stop Sign Brutally Beaten by Police

By now I am confident everyone has either seen or heard of this awful situation and potential overuse of law enforcement authority. Because I was not there to witness the details surrounding the circumstance (and we know the media can distort facts to fit their narrative), I will refrain from expressing my personal opinion.

However, if this is what it looks like (poor decision making and police brutality), this is yet another situation where there must be some serious questions answered to uncover the truth. If the officers involved are found to have operated beyond the constraints of their agency's documented processes and policies, each officer involved must be held to the highest level of personal and professional accountability. 

Please allow this to serve as a reminder that noone is exempt from this type of law enforcement engagement and this is why I initiated this petition. 

While we cannot change the behavior of others, we certainly can push for mechanisms of accountability against their harmful and unjust behavior.
