Our files will not be left to gather dust

A story was shared in the "Stopping bullying and harassment at work group." Katrina Hey died on 25 December 2019.  She is described as one of the nicest people you could ever meet.  Her friends, colleagues and daughter have all said that, “Before it all began she was so outgoing, very determined, the sweetest person. If she only had $10, she would give you that and the shirt off her back." Katrina Hey wasn't a person who would just roll over and let someone treat her like dirt.  Management had worn her down over so long that she couldn't take it anymore and 25 December 2019 Katrina Hey took her own life.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to Katrina's family.  We stand by Katrina's daughter, Kassandra who says that they will not give up until the bullies are held to account.

Again bullying was being done by management creating a feral culture that was considered acceptable, being promoted and used as a tool for internal promotion.

Everything in this change.org are my views and words and do not reflect the views of DeeAnn.  I have spoken to many people who have shared horrifying stories with me.

Everything on this page is being monitored by the Scottish government human resources, their legal team and the bullies.  Many, many people have contacted me to share their stories of being bullied.  It is shocking to learn that within the last few years there have been two members of staff within the Scottish government that have taken their own lives because they were bullied.  A member of their own legal team was bullied and harassed by a superior for so long that he not could face going to work and he took his own life by stepping in front of a train leaving behind a young family.  The Scottish government were aware of what was going on within the place of work but failed to take the necessary measures to put a stop to it.

A woman who worked in the same office as our sister gave up her job because she was the victim of sexual and physical harassment.  She was bullied for years and years.  She suffered horrendous treatment by a senior officer who visited her home very late one evening and invited himself in.  He told her that if she had sex with him her life at the office would and could be so much easier.  When she had a medical appointment and returned to her place of work he asked her if her hole had dried up.  A senior officer visiting from Orkney overheard this and he took no action against the inappropriate language.  A junior officer attempted to punch her in the back of her head and missed only because she quickly walked away.  He called her a w**re and was told by the senior officer that when he hit her to make it a good one.  She tried to defend herself against the inappropriate actions of the male colleagues but the older female colleague in the office verbally attacked her and instigated mob bullying.  She reported a fishery officer for selling fake designer jumpers on eBay for a considerable profit through a Scottish government office. She reported this on numerous occasions and took photos.  She reported officers turning up to work intoxicated, stoned and using company vehicles while impaired.  When she sent an email to her superior to voice her disgust, she was made to send another email apologising to him.  She was instructed by her business manager to record her conversations with our sister so he could listen to them to see if there was anything that he could to use against our sister.  She was planning a visit to the Orkney islands and a male fishery officer asked her in front of other officers who was she planning to sha* while in Orkney.  She said that she was upset and cried.  She reported this to her reporting officer but that was the last she heard of it.  She said that she could hear them calling her inappropriate names and she would report this but the treatment never stopped.  She went to her head office and made complaints and no action was taken.  She said she was disgusted every time one of the men would say that the office manager, who was also her good friend, was as a paedophile and his holidays were taken so he could be with young boys.  She said that she tried to get help from the older woman in the office but she always sided with the men and then gossip to the other offices discussing internal matters making it difficult for her.  She said that she had all she could take and when she was told that she had to sit in the same room with a man who wanted to hit her, she refused.

We will not let our sister's files gather dust.  We have asked for a meeting with the First Minister.  To this day she has not responded.
