2020 is a beautiful new year and we want to make it the year that the "Me Too Movement" does not fall flat and movies such as the "Loudest Voice and the "Bombshell" show the public that what you may think is acceptable is not to others. It only does not happen in Hollywood or at Fox News. It happens each and everyday in the places that you work. If you have a great work place, you are the chosen few. Choosing your audience is most vital before passing comments in any sort of work environment. I want to thank all the people that have reached out to our family and DeeAnn since October 2019 to offer their support. It means a lot because it has also helped men and women come forward and speak out. These people have sought support to bring an end to their suffering at their place of work. It takes a lot of courage to take a stand and say that you are no longer tolerating being treated inappropriately. Many other workers have been in touch with me and shared stories and it was heartbreaking to listen to their pain of what they have been through and where they are today. A lot of people have been hurt physically and emotionally and I don't just mean our sister. I have stories told to me by people going back over 20 years. That is a long time for the right people to pretend that they are blind, mute and deaf. (Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil.) The most amazing stories were the ones of former female officers who were bullied and have since left and made new lives for themselves. The most disturbing story was one of the women in the office was approached at her home late at night by a senior officer where he advised her that if she performed sexual favours then he would take it easy on her at work. Another officer was driven so badly with mental abuse that he had to take matters into his own hands and confront the bully with physical force to get him to stop bullying him. You have been brave and I want the people to know that sent me their stories that I will not stop until the Scottish Government issues a statement of apology. Every word above and in previous postings on Change.org are my own views and words and do not reflect the views of DeeAnn Fitzpatrick. Again I ask that the First Minister do the right thing and sit down with our sister to discuss the matter. I ask for the support of the 600 + people to keep writing. I ask for the support of all the different antibullying groups to stand by us to make a difference. Nearly 50 different incidents have been reported to the Scottish Government of bullying and victimisation but they refuse to look at them all. I will not let this happen. When a man places his hands on you and you tell him no, NO means NO. Whatever way you may sugarcoat your story, you still acted inappropriately and you did not act alone, there were many of you.
