Rhoda Grant, member of the Scottish parliament at First Minister's Questions on the 24th May 2018 said to the First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, "The First Minister is aware of the case of my constituent DeeAnn Fitzpatrick, about whom I have previously written to her.
"She cannot be anything other than shocked at the photograph published by the BBC showing one aspect of DeeAnn's abuse.(One aspect and there are 100s)
MSP Rhoda Grant asks?  "Will the First Minister now intervene, investigate the abuse and stop DeeAnn's persecution at the hands of Marine Scotland, and will she also remove the gagging clause that stops DeeAnn telling her own story, because it is in the public interest that she is heard?"  

MSP Rhoda Grant has been over a decade writing to the head of Marine Scotland Compliance and members of the Scottish Government to make them aware of what was being done to our sister and she asked them to intervene immediately to make this sort of treatment stop and to put measures in place to avoid it from ever happening again.

The First Minister responded: "Like everyone else who has seen it, I am absolutely horrified at the photograph that has been in the media over the past 24 hours and I'm also horrified at the circumstances in which that photograph is alleged to have been taken.
"Bullying, abuse, sexism, racism have no place in any workplace and let me be very clear today: they will not be tolerated within the Scottish Government or within our agencies."

But was she horrified?  Will she take action to make sure that this never happens to DeeAnn again or will she let the Marine Scotland Compliance management team pull the wool over the human resources department and senior members of the Scottish Government eyes as they have done for decades.  They have become masters of disguising their inappropriate actions and with the support of their boy's club, they are able to evade being caught because they have been doing it for years and years.

DeeAnn's family are 100% behind her and our mission is to make sure the people who put her through a living hell will be held accountable.   After the whistleblowing incident ten years ago, DeeAnn's life became a living hell with Marine Scotland Compliance and went unnoticed by a lot of senior management and certain members of human resources department.  It'll be our mission to see a resolution to this because ten years is long enough.

Your help will not only help our sister, DeeAnn but others around the world who are watching closely that justice is done.  Our sister's story has helped others to speak out but we feel that the her story needs to be heard so that the Scottish Government and the world will know the full extent of what these men were allowed to get away with.  We want to make sure that they are never in a position whereby they will be given the power to bully, harass or victimise anyone else.
