"There was only banter."  Again these words are used by men who bully, sexually harass, misogynise,  victimise and terrorise. These famous words have been used by senior members of staff when DeeAnn reported the incidents.

Funnily enough they have also been used by Sir Philip Green who has just been named in the UK Parliament by Lord Hain because he felt it was in the public's best interest.

However the treatment of our sister is not considered serious enough for the First Minister to speak to her to learn the truth and nor is it important enough for those who are still employed to be named and held accountable.  Instead they have spent thousands and thousands of $s to find ways and means to try and get rid of someone who is a whistleblower who was only trying to have a safe work environment for herself and others.

They feel it is not in the public's best interest:

  • To learn that there are men who think punching a woman in the head or face are still employed by the Scottish Government.   We consider this criminal.
  • To learn that a female member of staff was restrained and gagged. We consider this criminal.
  • To learn that a senior male member of staff telling a female member of staff that for Christmas he will be sticking his **** in the turkey and would she be interested is considered banter by senior management.  We consider it sexual harassment.
  • To learn that that an organisation can allow senior members of staff to have that much control over other members of staff and ostracise our sister because she spoke out and tried to protect herself.  We consider this bullying.
  • To learn that members of staff can send malicious cards to an employee at work and at her home address to terrorise our sister to show that they are sick enough to think that they are still in control.  We consider this mental abuse.

Please keep writing to the First Minister (firstminister@gov.scot), Nicola Sturgeon and the Permanent Secretary, Leslie Evans (Leslie.evans@gov.scot) to speak to DeeAnn.  It was not just banter, it was utterly cruel abuse that no one should have to go through no matter where you work.  It should not exist in anyone's place of work.  Still we wait to see if justice will be done.
