Extensions on assignments

The Issue

Due to staff striking over the last 4 weeks and now health issues, we have missed 5 weeks of crucial teaching across all of our second semester modules. This will massively impact every student across both courses (alongside people on other courses) as we have missed out on important lectures and seminars and not received all of the information we need to complete our assignments. The university is moving to online teaching which is understandable given the current situation, however it is not the same as having face to face sessions. We would like extensions on all of our assignments and for the impact of the strikes and staff illness to be taken into consideration when marking work. We would also be liked to be reimbursed for the lectures and seminars that we missed due to the strikes. This is only fair given that we have missed out on a lot of our education and contact time.
