San Franciscians have followed the safety rules and not only flattened but pummeled the COVID curve. Be proud! San Francisco was one of the first Bay Area counties to be placed in the RED tier when the new system was announced at the end of August and soon after moved to ORANGE, again leading Bay Area counties. Yet, our local Department of Health, Mayor London Breed and Board of Supervisors are prioritizing the reopening on gyms, bars, churches, tattoo parlors, salons, etc, etc, etc, above schools, which are the last in the long list of what's "allowed."

How did SF's families and children become such a low priority? This is despite numerous studies and data compilations -- from places where schools have resumed -- that schools are not super spreaders....even in California. Our neighbors in Marin just moved to RED two weeks ago and already private and public schools are safely resuming in-person instruction. It's not about data in SF, it's politics! 

If you have lived in SF long enough to raise children to school age, you are a fighter!! And a believer in our CITY!  Sign this petition as a sign of your fight for your children and ALL SF children to safely return to school ASAP. It is possible. Believe in it, yourself, your children and exercise your voice. Thank you!
