Set shorter deadlines for correcting errors on the certificate of Citizenship

Set shorter deadlines for correcting errors on the certificate of Citizenship
The Issue
I was thrilled to receive my British certificate of naturalization after 10 years of living in the UK. However, when the ceremony was ended, I discovered an error on the certificate: my country of birth was incorrectly listed as Russia instead of Ukraine. In my application, I clearly stated that I was born in Ukraine, as indicated in my passport, which lists my country of birth as Ukraine/USSR. Despite this, the case worker erroneously recorded Russia as my birthplace.
Following the correction procedure outlined by UKVI, I filled in the necessary form and sent my certificate, along with my ILR, back to UKVI for correction. It has now been two months since I submitted my documents, and despite lodging a complaint, I was informed that the process could take up to six months or even longer. This delay has severely impacted my life plans, including preventing me from applying for a passport and visiting my father, who is currently in the hospital.
I urge Parliament to set shorter deadlines for correcting such errors, ensuring the process takes no longer than four weeks. Additionally, previous immigration statuses should not be cancelled until the corrected certificate and passport are issued. This change is necessary to prevent significant disruptions to individuals’ lives and plans due to administrative errors.
