Beaumaris and surrounding communities are communities wounded by historic, systemic institutional child sexual abuse. On Sunday 1 May we are creating LOUD fences at several locations to show that survivors are stronger together, and survivors and deceased victims are remembered and supported by their community, which gives symbolism to an often hidden pain endured by many.
We are grateful that four of the five organisations we are communicating with, have already acknowledged, and in most instances, confirmed their support. Tomorrow we are meeting with the CEO of St Kilda Football Club to discuss the practicalities of their LOUD fence, and we anticipate being able to confirm LOUD fence location details and practicalities with the Principals of Haileybury College, Beaumaris Primary and Beaumaris North Primary schools this week.
Freemasons Victoria have not responded to any of our online and telephone messages and communications with them to-date, so this week we will use social media to communicate with them about our planned LOUD fence. You are a Freemason in Victoria or know a Freemason in Victoria, and can help us communicate with Freemasons Victoria? Please let us know in the comments of this post, and an organiser will connect with you.
You can RSVP to the LOUD fence event on our Facebook page, to keep up to date with all the details, and join in discussions about the day.
Not on Facebook? Not a problem, as we will provide updates here, and via emails, of all the LOUD fence details over the coming fortnight.
We continue to be so humbled and grateful we are 12,322 Petitioners Strong. We are stronger together, thank you.
