Did you know that the National Park Service, US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management's position is that ALL E-bikes are "Motorized Vehicles" and therefor for banned from public natural surface bike trails. Both Public Law 107-319 and or CA State law AB1096 say low power Assist E-bikes are not "Motorized Vehicles" and have the same access rights as bikes. This Petition is only directed towards having the E-bike ban in Angeles District Parks rescinded. We have been making progress challenging all of the bogus reasons for that E-bike ban. But we also need the NPS, ASFS and BLM as well as other land managers to allow low power assist E-Bikes access on designated bike trails. Currently they are treating them like motorcycles.
