Thank you very much, with the help of those of you who signed and shared, we have now reached over 2,000 plus signatures within a very short period of time.

People around the country have stepped up calling on the government to assist, MP'S and ministers have made efforts, and I hear of good people, charities all trying to assist in some way which is really great news.

I am inclined to stop the petition and call it a victory as it appears that aid is on it's way however am reluctant when taking into account the forecasts from expert epidemiologist who are advising that according to the modelling they believe deaths from now to August 21' will be at their lowest 1M but because actual figures have almost certainly been under reported the forecast for mortality is likely to be at the top end in the region of 4M to 5M which would eclipse all all deaths to date globally a shocking prospect I am sure you will agree, I am no expert however from what I have seen to date the modelling done by experts so far for forecasting mortality rates for other countries has been quite accurate.

Taking this into consideration I believe India has a mammoth problem ahead in the next few months and will need as much assistance as possible.

I know form what I am reading in the media that that many MP's from various parties are urging the government to do more and a letter has been written by Lisa Nandy Shadow Foreign Secretary and Jonathan Ashworth Shadow Health Secretary today to Dominc Raab Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs and Matt Hancock Secretary for Health and Social Care urging the government to provide more support.

Which is all positive news however my belief is that by continuing with this petition we can help to put pressure on the government to ensure they are doing as much possible in what seems to be turning into a huge catastrophe for India.

Lets continue with the momentum !

Many thanks
