Fantastic News we are now at 4000 plus signatures and growing so thank you to all of you who signed, shared and chipped into promote the cause.
As you will be aware from the news that there is lot being done to assist from the UK and international community right now and this is helping to save lives which is absolutely brilliant and shows that the UK as country remains at the top of the list for being one the most charitable/generous countries in the world.
However the scale of the problem is massive and I would like to use the momentum and channel the goodwill and intentions of people that are supporting this petition towards my Just giving page which is partnership with The British Asian Trust that is well known charity The British Asian Trust was founded in 2007, by HRH The Prince of Wales and a group of British Asian business leaders, to tackle widespread poverty, inequality and injustice in South Asia.
They have have the expertise to make good use of any funds that would be donated and from my just giving page gets diverted directly to The British Asian Trust.
Below is the story on the Just Giving page meanwhile which many of you will support and at the same time I request that you continue to sign and share this petition so we can continue to highlight the urgent need.
Thank you very much

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I started a petition last week to urge the UK government to send oxygen, equipment and expertise to India urgently to help save as many lives as possible as India is struggling to keep up with the daily demand due to a massive spike in deaths from the Corona virus.
As someone of Indian origin and connections in India I am drawn naturally to try and do my bit.
There are many appeals currently through charities, NGO'S, private individuals and of course the UK government has started to send aid which is fantastic and has started to save lives, but more needs to be done, please also continue to support my petition on change.org to ask the government to send oxygen and aid to India the following is the link to that petition:
Experts who do modelling are forecasting deaths based on current rates to reach a minimum of 1million by August this year in India however they state that because the figures report have been hugely under reported the actual death rates are likely to be in the region of 4 to 5 million and taking into consideration the no's of deaths globally currently stand at around 3 million plus then then we can see the scale of problem India faces in the coming weeks.
The problem is huge therefore I would urge/request fellow UK citizens to donate what they can afford and be safe in the knowledge that the money will be used used efficiently by a well known and organised charity. and will help save lives.
Thank you
