To: President Donald J. Trump

I am writing as a citizen of the United States to ask that you resign as President.

Mr. Trump, it is very clear that you are not prepared, equipped, or qualified to handle the duties of President and lead this nation effectively. You have called the media "enemies," repeatedly lied to the public, alienated important allies, sided with our foreign adversaries, failed to disclose your tax returns, appointed unqualified Cabinet members, and thrown the entire nation into chaos with your reckless mismanagement of the White House, and your ill-advised policies, including your illegal attempt to ban Muslims from entering the United States.

Instead of working to bring the nation together, you have wielded your newfound authority to fuel an unprecedented climate of distrust, division, and outright hate -- one that is pitting close friends, neighbors, and even relatives against one another.

Our nation cannot begin to heal from these wounds until you are gone. For the good of the country, you must step down as President of the United States effective immediately.
