I know this is an unpopular opinion but, I grew up with cats and my family always got them declawed despite any thing I would say. So I would like to educate on what "declawing" your cat actually means. 

      Declawing a cat is the equivalent to cutting a person fingers off at the first knuckle. No matter what procedure is done scapula, guillotine or laser. It all ends with excruciating pain for the cat. As a child, my mom always told me if you use the Lazer procedure it doesn't hurt them but I now know that that is very much not the case.

      Declawing a cat is a very inhumane way to teach them not to scratch. There are so many good and healthy alternatives to declawing cats. Some include, soft paws (little vinyl cups in the shape of a cat's claw that go over the nails) and cat scratching posts. 

      I have seen many cases of people having their outdoor cat declawed. Cats use their claws to protect themselves against predators, declawing your outdoor cat or any cat in general can be dangerous. 

      Cats are beautiful creatures and can make great pets without us mutilating their paws. I hope there's other people out there that feel this way and can help us reach out goal.

       Let's work together to stop this inhuman practice and try our very best to promote the more inhumane and safe alternatives to declawing. I believe we can do it.
