From the graduating class of 2021 seniors, their families and friends

The graduating class of 2021 should have a graduation ceremony that adheres to CDC guidelines and maintains the traditional aspects of graduation that honors the effort and achievements of these students.  They should be allowed to graduate with their friends and classmates and celebrate entering the next chapter of their lives.  Their families, who have supported and encouraged them along the way, should be allowed to attend this milestone event in a safe and socially distanced manner (even if this means limiting tickets).

Seminole County Public Schools  have been safely hosting sporting events in-person, with spectators in attendance from both our school and the opponent's school the entirety of this school year.   The graduating class deserves a similar opportunity for this once in a lifetime rite of passage and it is simply wrong to blindside these seniors and their families by taking away the graduation they were expecting with their peers and changing the date at the last second.
