Yesterday, following countless meetings and legal changes to the tariff, Belmont Light Board instructed Belmont Light to add purchase power agreements back into the tariff, and grandfather existing solar hosts into net metering that matches the rest of the state's practices. This means that public buildings can now affordably install solar panels that deliver energy to those buildings AND feed back into the grid.
