So Sonic Forces was a meh whatever. But I think one of the good things to come from it is the character they used in the trailers for the avatar advertisements. Known as Gadget the wolf or Buddy the wolf, he’s a character with red fur and wears glasses along with military style gloves and shoes. He has great character design and honestly, I want him more than just a one time character for a half-half game. I hope that this character gets the same treatment in the canon like espio or shadow and be a real character you can play in the next sonic game, spinoff or not. I truly hope SEGA and Yuji Naka see this and have Gadget the wolf become a canon sonic character.
