"Cllr Bennett has been working behind the scenes to try and get the playground reinstated and has contacted the relevant officers and cabinet member in Sefton for discussions on the matter. She intends to put forward the following proposal with the aim of all parties working together in order to have the playground reinstated. She will be asking Formby Parish Council for an amount to be set aside towards this project together with match funding from Sefton Council and also the release of ward funds (which in principle has already been agreed by the 3 ward Councillors) in order to fund the project. She has put the matter on the agenda at the General Projects meeting next week for Formby Parish Council and hopes to try and secure all the funding either in November or December. It is anticipated that the cost of reinstating the park would be in the region of £55,000 as indicated by the officer for Sefton Council." It is good to see that work is continuingnaand hopefully we will have our playground restored soon.
