It’s time for action and I need YOUR help to get justice for my dad, Jorn Jesper Jensen.

In June 2024 it will be 7 years since Jesper went missing. An inquest was held over the 23rd - 24th September 2020 with the outcome being an “OPEN FINDING” yet the case still remains cold.

Comments by Coroner Michael Andrew Gliddon Jenkin as follows: 

“On the basis of the evidence before me, I have not been able to determine the cause of Mr Jensen’s death. Although I am not satisfied there is any cogent evidence that Mr Jensen was the victim of “foul play”, on the basis of the available evidence, I made an Open Finding as to the manner of his death.”

Even though we received an open finding WA Police are NOT actively investigating the case so it will officially remain a cold case unless we take action today! This was only ever looked at as a suicide case but there is still a vast array of unanswered questions pointing to foul play which could be established if the case is treated as a homicide.

This is why this petition is so important. Once I have reached enough signatures, I will be writing to Coroner Jenkins, the Police Commissioner as well as my local MP with the goal of getting approval for the Special Crime Squad to review and investigate the case. Once I have achieved this goal, I will be appealing to have a reward offered to encourage people to come forward. 

I have exhausted all avenues and am just a daughter desperate to have the truth exposed about her dad’s disappearance/murder and ensure those responsible are held accountable. The icing on the cake will be to find his remains so I can lay him to rest with his late wife where he belongs. 

Who was Jesper?

My father was born as Jorn Jesper Jensen but was better known by his family and friends as Jesper. He was a quiet man who was very devoted to his late wife, two daughters and 4 grandchildren. He was best described as a "gentle giant", seeing as he was a whopping 6.3 with a heart of gold.

He arrived in Australia as a young man from Denmark with only the shirt on his back and a few dollars in his pocket. He worked hard as a labourer to build a good life for his beautiful late wife Gerri and his two daughters. He was a good man of strong character and he deserves to be found and those responsible for taking his life made accountable.
