Oliver, a friendly and innocent husky from Arachova, Greece suffered an unthinkable fate. He was brutally beaten, tortured and sexually abused with a sharp metallic object. After enduring this horrific ordeal, Oliver managed to return to his owner only to die a day later. This story has struck a chord with me and many others who are tired of the rampant animal cruelty in Greece.

In recent days alone there have been numerous incidents of abuse and death among animals in our community. This is not an isolated issue - it's part of a larger pattern that needs immediate attention. According to World Animal Protection's global index on animal welfare (2014), Greece ranks 34th out of 50 countries evaluated for their approach towards animal protection legislation.

Enough is enough! We must demand stricter laws against animal cruelty in Greece and ensure that perpetrators face severe consequences for their actions. It's time we honor Oliver by fighting for justice on his behalf and working towards preventing such atrocities from happening again.
