Stop Sedona City Council From Making Masks Mandatory in Public

Stop Sedona City Council From Making Masks Mandatory in Public
The Issue
On June 23rd, 4:30pm the Sedona City Council will decide if the public is required to wear masks in public.
They have already made it mandatory for businesses to have employees wear masks.
Wearing masks for extended periods of time pose a serious health threat to the wearer, which is a far greater and more real threat than the virus to which they are supposed to protect us from.
Here are a few facts about wearing masks that I think you all might find interesting:
1) They decrease oxygen intake - Breathing through a mask decreases the amount of oxygen we need to live and be healthy, increases blood acidity, and makes breathing difficult.
2) Increases toxin inhalation - Toxins that we normally exhale as we breathe become trapped in the mask and re-inhaled into the lungs, increasing symptoms.
3) Shuts down immune system - Decreases oxygen intake, increases carbon dioxide & toxin intake, putting the body under stress, releasing cortisol & shutting down immune processes.
4) Increases virus risk - Encourages triggering & infection from dormant retro viruses already in the body, taking advantage of a weakened immune system due to mask wearing.
5) Scientifically inaccurate - Virologists measure Covid-19 to be 80-140nm in size, making the weave of material masks to be the equivalent of a chain-link fence to a mosquito.
Currently, just .017% of the population of Arizona has died from Covid.
In Yavapai county there have only been 402 confirmed cases and just 7 deaths total.
Now I am not taking these 7 people's lives for granted. It is a tragedy to lose people.
But, are we willing to put ALL citizens at risk by making them wear masks, which prohibit normal breathing and make you sicker etc... because of 7 people?
I firmly believe that making masks mandatory would have a much bigger detrimental impact on the health of Sedona citizens than the wearing of masks would.
If this decision is based solely on the basis of keeping people safe and healthy, then there is a clear choice to be made.
In addition to the obvious health effects of the masks, this will effect tourism as well.
I live in Uptown and drive through the tourist area every single day.
I can tell you that the vast majority of visitors are NOT wearing masks. If I had to put a percentage on it, I would say less than 15% of our visitors are wearing masks.
What does this mean?
This means that Sedona attracts a certain type of person. Healthy, active, and clearly people who don't choose to wear masks.
75% of our visitors come from California, where wearing a mask is mandatory across the entire state.
These people are coming to escape that environment and come to a place where it is currently not mandatory to wear masks.
I can guarantee that if mask wearing becomes mandatory in Sedona, tourism will suffer.
People come to Sedona because it is unique and offers a certain "vibe". Whether you agree or not, that "vibe" would not exist in the way that it did if masks are to be mandated.
The residents of Sedona largely depend on the business from tourism, whether employed by a business, or owning the business themselves.
This would have a large impact on the small economy of Sedona.
I want to be clear, what I'm about to say is not a threat of any kind. I don't believe in that kind of action, as it does no one any good.
With that said, if masks are made mandatory, there will be people that become more sick and less healthy. Many will develop illnesses and conditions that are much more severe than coronavirus itself.
And if that is the case, there will be a very clear cause and effect situation. We will know when these conditions started to develop, and will be able to coordinate that with when masks became mandatory.
There will likely be lawsuits that follow. People in Sedona are smart and well educated. And very aware of their health and the health of their families.
Again, this is not a threat from me personally. Myself and my family will never wear a mask, regardless of your decision, so our health will be intact. If you've read this email, I thank you for your time.
Again, thank you for your time and I look forward to seeing you all at the meeting at city hall on June 23rd at 4:30pm.
The more people that show up, the more powerful our message will be!
