Secure the Future of Clitheroe's Three Historic Former Public Town Wells
Secure the Future of Clitheroe's Three Historic Former Public Town Wells
The Issue
Clitheroe Town Wells Conservation Campaign (CTWCC), its Town Council, and many of its residents, are proud of these three pre-Norman Spring Well sites -Listed Grade II. To our current knowledge, no other Parish, Town,or City has similar.
CTWCC, believe that preserving our history is vital to understanding our present and shaping our future. We wish to work together with all similarly minded - including our District Council - to protect these sites and ensure they continue to signify our town's distinctive identity. To assist with this aim we request support for the following action:
Ribble Valley Borough Council to work with Clitheroe Town Council and CTWCC and make further valid applications to HMLR for 'First Title' Registrations for Heald and St Mary's Wells.
Please, join CTC and CWTCC in safeguarding our historic public town wells. Every signature is a step towards preserving our heritage. Sign this petition today and contribute to the preservation of Clitheroe's unique past.
