Our voices are being heard in Canberra. I've received positive responses to the petition from Independents Kylea Tink and Monique Ryan, Federal MP Dr Gordon Reid and NSW Greens MP Abigail Boyd.
It’s been a rollercoaster few days. I’ve joined forces with Solar Citizens, and we will be sharing copies of our petitions with the office of Energy Minister Chris Bowen after the summit.
Before tomorrow's summit, can you quickly email Chris Bowen urging him to make a real commitment to fuel efficiency standards?

Together, we’ve kept up the pressure on the Federal Government, and they’re starting to listen. I’ve reached out to my Federal MP Dr Gordon Reid, and he has passed the petition on to the Energy and Climate Minister.
In response to the petition, Dr Reid told me the following:
“I have asked that the Minister (Chris Bowen) and their Department review your correspondence and take appropriate action. When I receive a reply from Minister Bowen I will be in contact to discuss this matter further.”
