Dear signers, thanks to your invaluable support the petition is getting the attention of Federal Politicians!
Now, we're so close to 10,000 signatures. Can you help us reach this goal before Friday’s EV Summit in Canberra? Click here to share the petition.
I’ve had a very positive response from Federal Independent Kylea Tink, whose office has generously agreed to share the petition to keep this issue on the national agenda. This would not have been possible without your support.
This coming Friday the 19th of August, the national Electric Vehicle summit will be held in Canberra, where MP’s, car manufacturers and industry leaders will discuss ways to implementing fuel efficiency standards in Australia!
This is a huge moment for the campaign.
I’m hopeful that this week we will see the Albanese Government commit to implementing Fuel Efficiency Standards. For too long, our federal politicians have refused to take serious action on EV uptake, costing billions of dollars in taxpayer money and stalling the clean energy transition.
Now, we have the chance to do things differently. Energy minister Chris Bowen says that ‘everything is on the table’, and will use the EV summit on Friday to offer more details about the next steps forward.
If there was ever a time to share this petition with everyone you know, the time is now. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #AdoptFuelStandards to draw attention to the campaign!

Your support has helped us secure local media coverage and the support of Federal Politicians. Now, let’s show the Albanese Government that we won’t back down until they commit to implementing Fuel Efficiency Standards.
Thank you,
Debi
