Have you spent time in the Sunset Strip community? You likely witnessed firsthand the lack of adequate green spaces. Walking downhill to West Hollywood Park is not an option for those who live near Sunset Strip.  Over the years, the absence of parks has impacted our community's well-being - depriving us of a space to engage in healthy activities, socialize, and simply enjoy nature. Unfortunately, we are not alone in this struggle. According to the Trust for Public Land, 100 million Americans, including 28 million children, do not have a park within a 10-minute walk of home. This is a reality we don't want for our community. With a new park, we could see improvements in several aspects of life. Green spaces have been shown to positively impact physical health, mental wellbeing, and even property values. The time is now to set in motion the development of a park that would meet our needs and serve our community effectively. We must enhance the quality of life and promote environmental sustainability in our neighborhoods. Please show your support and sign the petition to secure funding for a new community park.
