The North Texas Performing Arts (NTPA) in Plano has been a cornerstone of my life, a place where creativity meets community. For years, NTPA has been a platform for countless aspiring artists, like myself, to hone our craft and express ourselves through the art of theatre. It’s not just a place; it’s a sanctuary that fosters talent, friendship, and personal growth. However, our shared home at Willowbend Mall is under imminent threat. The mall is slated for demolition to make way for a new arena for the Dallas Stars, forcing our beloved NTPA Plano to vacate by the end of the year.

This situation poses an existential threat not only to NTPA but to the community that uses NTPA . By donating, you are helping us ensure we can continue to nurture the dreams of young artists, provide an artist outlet for the community and keep our rich tradition of local theatre alive.

NTPA Plano serves as a cultural hub for North Texas, enriching the community with over hundreds of productions annually. The urgency to relocate is compounded by the tight deadline given by the mall management and the substantial cost involved in moving to a new location that can accommodate our needs. Without a new venue, we stand to lose the vibrant heart of our community.
