Secure a New Home for HAWA Charity Centre: Foster Community and Youth Development

Secure a New Home for HAWA Charity Centre: Foster Community and Youth Development
The Issue
*Note: Please only sign if you reside in London Borough of Barnet: Barnet Vale, Brunswick Park, Burnt Oak, Childs Hill, Colindale North, Colindale South, Cricklewood, East Barnet, East Finchley, Edgware, Edgwarebury, Finchley Church End, Friern Barnet, Garden Suburb, Golders Green, Hendon, High Barnet, Mill Hill, North Finchley, Totteridge & Woodside, Underhill, West Finchley, West Hendon, Whetstone, Woodhouse.
As long-term supporters and beneficiaries of the HAWA charity centre, we understand and emphasise the vital role this centre plays in our community. It serves as a community hub, provides educational aid through a supplementary school for over 120 BAME youths, and functions as a prayer hall for hundreds of families. Our current premises face demolition due to the Grahame Park regeneration scheme, leaving over 700 families displaced and jeopardising the continued education of dozens of BAME students.
We are petitioning the Barnet Council to secure alternative premises for our beloved centre. This not only allows us to continue our ongoing services but opens opportunities for outreach expansion, further community engagement, and diversified public support.
Failure to find a new home would be more than a loss of bricks and mortar—it means losing a central pillar of our community’s spiritual, social, and educational well-being.
By signing this petition, you are pledging your support to keeping the spirit of our community alive. Help us protect our spiritual home, our school, and our community centre. Please—lend us your voice, and sign this petition.
