A letter from CEDAWinLAW was delivered on Monday 24th February to no 10 Downing Street by a powerful delegation composed of Hon Dr Jocelynne Scutt AO, MP Ian Byrne and investigative journalist David Hencke.
The letter was once again calling for mediation on behalf of all 1950s born women, based on their legal rights.

"There's no need for legal action to be taking place in the courts which is wasting courts' time and taking up money, when the rule is that one can and should go to Mediation BEFORE legal action is instituted with the costs that that incur" Hon Dr Scutt AO
"I think mediation is the right way to go"
"Lots of MPs feel as though that is the way forward" Ian Byrne MP
"Frankly Mediation seems the simplest, most straight forward way to get things done. It will allow people to have a better retirement with more money and they (all 50s Women) are owed it. The sooner this is sorted the better" David Hencke

"Now WASPI are planning to do the opposite (to mediation) and engage in a long war of attrition again in the courts against the DWP for throwing out any hope of compensation"
"this is committing their supporters to years of waiting and a huge financial burden running well into six figures to maintain the fight" David Hencke
Would this be lots of pain for very little potential gain?
50sWomen are aware that a judicial review is NOT necessary for Mediation, as both the current and the former Secretary of State for Work and Pensions are already in legal jeopardy of finding themselves with a clear case against them of an unlawful refusal to join Mediation
- CEDAWinLAW is "TheOneBrightLight" for ALL 3.5m 50sWOMEN
- Mediation via a top team of independent mediators, who are on standby, is the path forward
- No expensive Legal Action is required!
- CEDAWinLAW has already sorted it!
- 50sWomen's legal rights are already in place to get the job done!
- CEDAWinLAW ALONE represents the enforceable legal rights of all 3.5m 50sWomen
What choices do 50sWomen have?
Either: An expensive and lengthy legal case through WASPI, who represent only about 7% of 1950s born women who are members, that appears to challenge only the Govt's refusal to pay compensation of between £900 to £2950?
Or: Mediation through CEDAWinLAW who hold extensive evidence based on enforceable rights, including challenging the so far unaddressed discriminatory impact of the State Pension Age changes on this already severely disadvantaged cohort of women?
50sWomen want JUSTICE, not possible crumbs for a cherry-picked few via costly and unnecessary litigation!
MPs surely know full well that the main issue is one of lifelong discrimination against 50sWomen, exacerbated by changes to State Pension Age made with no consideration of outcomes & without consultation, impact assessment or proper notification?
This matter will not be resolved by supporting the implementation of the Ombudsman's recommendations, as this fails to address proven Direct Discrimination and breaches of both Domestic and ratified International Law. WASPI Board has refused a number of invitations made by CEDAWinLAW to discuss joining them in Mediation
In the words of one 50sWoman:
"I don't want up to £3000, I want a fair recompense for the six years of pension I lost"
