The 'Whitehall Playbook' apparently includes distraction tactics to deflect the focus from righteous injustices, such as those identified in the Post Office Scandal
Public opinion can sometimes be swayed by the utilisation of such tactics to deceive, by manipulating existing biases and information, or by withholding or ignoring relevant information
Financial journalists "in the dark"?
Meanwhile it is hard to believe that financial journalists are "in the dark" about the enforceable legal rights of 50s Women that have been breached
Don't forget that 50sWomen's case for discrimination was never heard by the Supreme Court, so no definitive judgement was ever made. (See previous updates for more info on this point)
Meanwhile lifelong discrimination continues with sexist & ageist pensions policy & practice that is almost invariably more detrimental, or at the very least less advantageous, to older women when compared to older men
Distraction tactics in play?
All this fuss over which 50sWomen knew what & when is a deliberate distraction, in my opinion, from the REAL issue affecting this cohort of women, which has always been lifelong discrimination, further exacerbated by the rapid changes to State Pension Age which have only increased the level of financial disadvantage already in existence.
These changes targeted only 50sWomen to bear the entire brunt of 5 years change in State Pension Age over a very short time frame, when they had an entirely legitimate expectation of receipt of their pensions at the age of 60
The REAL issue has always been DISCRIMINATION against 50sWomen
Women have a legal right to SUBSTANTIVE equality, ie equality of OUTCOME
Parliament cannot ignore the legal obligations of Government under ratified CEDAW, Human Rights Laws and Domestic Equality Law
Enforceable Laws are also in play
CEDAWinLAW calls for the current Secretary of State for Work and Pensions to respond to their call for mediation talks to begin as soon as possible, to bring about redress for this injustice, in particular to focus upon the impact of both discrimination and ONGOING maladministration on 50s Women
50sWomen don't allow yourselves to be sold short!

A question from CEDAWinLAW:
"The burning question remains. Why would any group or any stakeholder not utilise ENFORCEABLE UK & International Laws to MEDIATE the best outcome for all concerned?"
