Seattle Storm: Give Nika Mühl More Minutes of Playing Time

The Issue

I am a long time fan of the Seattle Storm and have a keen notice with expectations when it comes to newcomers based on promising potential on the team. Earlier this year, the Seattle Storm drafted Nika Mühl as the 14th overall pick after her performance at UConn where she recently played a key role in contributing an outstanding journey to the women's final four experience. I was ecstatic to see that she earned a regular season spot for Seattle Storm and became one of thirteen rookies who made the opening day roster cut, and we have been looking forward for her to get quality amount of playing time.

However, after the team’s first twenty-five games of the 2024 season, many of us as Storm fans like me are feeling dissatisfied for the fact that Nika Mühl's presence on the court has been severely limited to the point of non-existence in the scoring board. We have never before seen a player in her rookie season to not have scored a single point before the All-Star break and it is outrageous and frankly unfair compared to all of the other active rookies who have respectively scored their first points.

What she had at this point is unacceptable that our head coach for the Seattle Storm is giving the rookie too little of her chances she needs since making the roster cut for a very good reason. So, our purpose of this petition is to call on coach Noelle Quinn to give Nika Mühl substantial minutes as a direct backup point guard to Skylar Diggins-Smith. By doing so, we will ensure that Seattle Storm's potential has enough bench support to make a deep postseason run, by putting our rookie point guard in the mix of an adjustable rotation to contribute for the team's overall performance and securing a fair growth opportunity for Nika to score her before the 2024 regular season ends.

We are making a firm stand for Nika Mühl as an inspiration to notice some of the most underutilized fresh talents in the WNBA. Please sign this petition to increase Nika Mühl's time on the court and show your support for a fair share of playing time and scoring contribution to represent the Seattle Storm in the W.
